Palmižana
Palmižana bay
After seeing Vis and the surrounding islands we push on to the fourth island with Palmizana tour! Pakleni are a group of 11 small islands, just a swim away from Hvar. The island group is also known as “Paklinski islands”. Paklina is the Croatian word for a type of resin used in shipbuilding. Shipbuilders used to collect Paklina from the pine trees that still grow on Pakleni, hence the name. Palmižana is a hot spot of the archipelago, and a perfect anchoring spot for our tour!
We’ll be anchoring in Vinogradišće bay, looking out to the south with a beautiful view of the open Adriatic. The “real” Palmižana is an anchoring spot, a marina, located on the other side of Svet Klement (St. Clement) island. A narrow area of land connects Palmižana and Vinogradišće, so you can take a short walk to the other side of the island.
Palmižana makes for a great resting spot after an entire day of adventure, and a perfect lunch stop! Your skipper can provide you with all the information regarding the best restaurants, places to visit etc. So feel free to ask the skipper for help or information at all times during the tour. *Lunch in Palmižana is not included in the price! If you’d like to have lunch in Palmižana you can ask the skipper to reserve the table upon booking a tour.
On the other hand, if you’re up for even more adventure, take a short hike through St. Clement’s trails, or perhaps have a cocktail in one of many restaurants on the beach.
Next, and final stop on our tour, a city full of life, Hvar!
